Monday, December 12, 2011, the Broadway community descended on New York City's glamorous Museum of Modern Art to get their first official look at NBC's upcoming new musical drama series SMASH. BroadwayWorld was on the red carpet to catch up with all of the show's stars on their big night!

Well, it's official. The show that Broadway and BroadwayWorld.com has been eagerly anticipating is officially a SMASH! On December 12, 2011, the Broadway community descended on New York City's glamorous Museum of Modern Art to get their first official look at NBC's upcoming new musical drama series SMASH, which is nothing less than an ongoing love-letter to Broadway. The attendees, from the casts of nearly every show on the Great White Way, were enthralled from start to finish.

Each year hundreds of students receive valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Omaha Performing Arts and Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

Even before the show opened last night Off-Broadway, producers Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, and Executive Producer Robert Cole announced today that ONCE, the new musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, will play Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre this spring. Previews will begin Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with opening night set for Sunday, March 18, 2012. Tickets for the Broadway run will go on sale Wednesday, December 7 at 12:01am via Telecharge.com or by phone at 212-239-6200 .
