Florida Rep's 2016-17 Season to Feature 'SPELLING BEE,' TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD & More

Florida Repertory Theatre, recently called 'one of the top regional troupes in the United States' by 'The Wall Street Journal', is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 Season in the Historic Arcade Theatre and ArtStage Studio Theatre. Running October 7 to May 14, the season includes Agatha Christie's most famous whodunit, a Tony-winning musical, multiple comedies, an American classic, a world-premiere, and more!

THE FABULOUS LIPITONES to Launch FST's Summer 2016 Season; Lineup Announced!

Florida Studio Theatre's Summer Mainstage Season kicks off with the culture clash comedy, The Fabulous Lipitones, the touching and funny production of The Roommate, and the courageous journey of self-discovery in The God of Isaac. The season opens on June 1 and plays through August 21 in the Keating and Gompertz Theatres.

TheaterWorks Announces 2016-2017 Season

TheaterWorks under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Rob Ruggiero has announced its 2016-2017 Season. Rob said, 'I couldn't be more excited. We've got a great line-up of wonderful stories with new works by audience favorites Mark St Germain, Jacques Lamarre and David Lutken. I'm excited to introduce a new playwright to TheaterWorks in SUNSET BABY'S Dominique Morriseau - one of the most distinctive voices in America. Philadelphia Theatre Company to Present 2016 PTC@Play Festival of New Work

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the 2016 PTC@Play Festival of New Work celebrating the American playwright in Philadelphia on March 3-6 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre.  The festival will present staged readings showcasing three new plays by national and local talent including new work by Mark St. Germain, Philadelphia playwright Sam Henderson, and playwright/performer Rinne Groff.  A new addition to PTC@Play will be an evening of short plays, all written and rehearsed within one twenty-four hour period.  All events are free.

Northlight Theatre Sets 42nd Season

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces its 42nd season, including three World Premieres and two Midwest Premieres.  The season kicks off with the Midwest Premiere of Anthony Giardina's political family drama The City of Conversation, critically acclaimed and currently in development as a miniseries for F/X. The season continues with the World Premiere of the charmingly imagined sequel to Pride and Prejudice, Miss Bennet by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, followed by the World Premiere of Faceless by emerging playwright Selina Fillinger, and the Midwest Premiere of By the Water by Sharyn Rothstein, winner of the prestigious 2015 Primus Prize. Closing out the season is the World Premiere of Relativity by Mark St. Germain, the prolific playwright behind the long-running Freud's Last Session.

AMERICAN SON and DRY POWDER Tie for 2016 Laurents / Hatcher Foundation Award

Just announced, AMERICAN SON by Christopher Demos-Brown and DRY POWDER by Sarah Burgess have tied as recipients of the 2016 Laurents / Hatcher Foundation Award. The respective producing theaters will each receive $50,000 towards the production expenses of the premiere works. Burgess and Demos-Brown will each receive an award of $25,000.
