“The New York Philharmonic This Week” Celebrates 100 Years Of Leonard Bernstein The New York Philharmonic This Week, the Orchestra's national and international two-hour radio broadcast, will dedicate its August programming to the memory of former Music Director Leonard Bernstein, marking the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Beginning today, listeners will be treated to five weeks of Bernstein-themed programming, examining everything from his unmatched work in audience education to his championing of Mahler's music into the mainstream, plus historic audio from his legendary debut and the opening of Lincoln Center.

Hosted by Alec Baldwin, each two-hour broadcast features curated music highlighting milestones in Bernstein's career along with commentary from Leonard Bernstein, his daughter Jamie, Glenn Gould, and more.
