Richmond Symphony Kicks Off Holiday Season with THE SNOWMAN Today

Richmond, Virginia Kick off the holiday season with the Academy Award-winning movie The Snowman today, November 28 at 11am. The charming, animated film follows the story of a young boy and his magical friendship with a snowman, while the Richmond Symphony performs Howard Blake's score, including the popular song "Walking in the Air." Additional holiday favorites such as "The Polar Express" and "Winter Wonderland" will also be performed during the program. The concert will be held at Richmond CenterStage's Carpenter Theatre and led by guest conductor, Ankush Kumar Bahl.

Arrive early for a pre-concert festival beginning at 10am in Rhythm Hall. Festival activities include the popular instrument petting zoo, face painting, crafts provided by the Children's Museum of Richmond, and more. Union Bank and Trust LolliPops concerts are ideal for children ages 5 and up, but music lovers of all ages are welcome.
