Friends in Song, a 12-member a cappella vocal ensemble, presents a touring concert series this spring with performances in Barnstable, Duxbury and Scituate. The ensemble is directed by William B. Richter.
Sing On! Fostering Peace, Hope and Love in Song offers a one-hour program of light concert repertoire featuring beloved and newly discovered tunes, including pop, ballad, classic and contemporary selections. Arrangements from the United States and abroad are intended to inspire and instill comfort to endure a tumultuous world, through the strength that each song's theme portrays.
Selections include Earth Song by Frank Ticheli, Come Again, Sweet Love by John Dowland, Hope by Ysaye M. Barnwell, My Love Dwelt in a Northern Land by Edward Elgar, Quiet by Connie Lim (of recent famed by performing artist Milck at the U.S. Women's Marches), I Dream a World by Andrew Thomas with lyrics by Langston Hughes, And So it Goes by Billy Joel, My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose by Robert Burns and more.

Friends in Song vocal ensemble has performed across the region for seven years, recognized for their tightly woven harmonies and joyous concerts. Members of Friends in Song reside on the South Shore and Cape Cod, featuring vocalists Diana Barnes, Caroline Chapin, Carol Cybulska, Brian Dudley, Lizbeth Estes, Todd Herrmann, Lynne Hare, Chris Holl, Dan Miot, Michelle McGrath, Music Director William B. Richter and Kay Slater.
