NBC's Sunday Night Olympics Coverage Scores 21.3 Million Viewers

Last night's primetime Olympics on NBC (7-11 p.m. ET) averaged 21.3 million viewers and a 12.1 household rating/19 share – more than doubling the combined primetime viewership and household rating of ABC, CBS and FOX (9.9 million viewers and 6.0 household rating), according to live plus same day fast national data released today by The Nielsen Company. In addition, last night's viewership was up 11% from the comparable Sunday of the last European Winter Olympic Games (19.2 million for Torino in 2006) – marking the ninth time in 10 nights that NBC's Sochi viewership topped Torino.

USA-Russia Men's Match is Most Streamed Hockey Game in NBC Olympics History

Today's thrilling USA-Russia Olympic men's hockey game, which went to an eight-round shootout before Team USA won, is the most streamed hockey game in NBC Sports and NBC Olympics history. Due to the popularity of the game, portions will air tonight in primetime on NBC, including overtime and the shootout. Al Michaels and Mike “Doc” Emrick will join Meredith Vieira on the primetime show to discuss USA-Russia.
