Profiles Theatre continues its 27th season with VICES AND VIRTUES, two full evenings featuring eleven short plays by Resident Artist Neil LaBute, performing in rotating repertory. Each evening features Midwest and World premieres of some of LaBute's newest shorts, staged by individual directors and featuring an ensemble cast of twenty performers. Profiles' production runs at The Alley Stage, 4147 N. The Other Theatre Company and Artistic Director Carin Silkaitis have announced the company's second production in its inaugural season, Bent, written by Martin Sherman and directed by Keira Fromm, at Strawdog Theatre, 3829 N. Broadway, June 27 - July 26. Preview performances are June 27 at 4 and 8 p.m. Opening/Press night is Wednesday, July 1 at 8 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. (no show Thursday, July 9) Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Preview tickets are $20 with the regular run tickets $25 and may be purchased at www.buzzonstage.com/theatres/other-theatre-company. Kansas City Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Eric Rosen today announced casting for the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play by Tony Kushner, Angels in America, to be directed by MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow David Cromer. Angels in America , which transformed the landscape of American theatre when it premiered in 1991, is a riveting, thought-provoking masterpiece about sexuality, identity, religion, and American's history and future, set in the AIDS crisis of the late 1980s.

Profiles Theatre announces the final extension for the Midwest premiere of Cock by Mike Bartlett, directed by Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. The production opened February 20, 2014 and will extend for the second time through June 29, 2014. Cast members Torrey Hanson, Eleni Pappageorge, Jake Szczepaniak continue their roles with Nik Kourtis joining the cast. Performances are held at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway.

TimeLine Theatre Company announces 9 additional performances of its acclaimed production of The Normal Heart by Larry Kramer, directed by Nick Bowling. Originally scheduled to close on December 22, The Normal Heart will now run through December 29, 2013, plus three additional Tuesday performances at 7:30 pm on December 3, December 10 and December 17, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago. Tickets to newly added performances are on sale starting today.
