Front of House Positions
Ushers are responsible for delivering top-notch customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our theatre patrons at both the Goodspeed Opera House and the Terris Theatre. As the face of hospitality, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and your friendly and professional demeanor will set the stage for an unparalleled event experience. This a Seasonal position (April-December).

Production Positions
The First Hand assists the Draper with the cutting, assembling, stitching and completion of garments for productions. The First Hand will also oversee a team of Stitchers in the completion of garments for productions.

A Stagehand is responsible for operation of all assigned scenic moves and assisting in the maintenance and repair of all scenic elements. Additionally, they lend support to the scene shop in the implementation, build, load-in, and strike of all scenic elements.

The Costume Shop Manager is responsible for all aspects of costume construction, costume crafts, rentals, and maintenance as well as the management of the wig/hair department for the Goodspeed Opera House, The Norma Terris Theatre, and all assigned Goodspeed events and outside projects. The Costume Shop Manager is also responsible for hiring, scheduling and supervision of all costume shop, wardrobe, and wig/hair staff. In addition, the Costume Shop Manager will support and help maintain the Costume Rental Collection.

The Child Supervisor for the production of A Christmas Story is on-site to supervise all actors who are minors (under 18) when they are not on stage, be the families’ primary contact during the rehearsal process and production run, and work with the stage management team and Goodspeed production staff to make the production experience successful for the children, ensuring they have a positive experience during rehearsals. There will be between 8 and 11 child actors involved in the production.
