Tools for Schools NYC, endeavors to foster tools and technique for the young actor to approach the college audition room and life with more comfort and confidence.
Auditioning can be difficult, between; 1.) Where to apply and How? 2.) Selecting and preparing your material 3.) How to build a professional resume and head shot 4.)Winning the audition room 5.) Graduating high school 6.) Trusting your work.
It can seem like a juggling act to handle it all. That's where we come in. Tools for Schools NYC offers affordable private sessions and auditioning classes for young actors to prepare for the college audition room and realities and fundamentals of pursuing acting. Our goal is to show you off at your fullest and finest in front of these intimidating colleges, and to teach you the tools they want to see. |
Our training at Tools for Schools NYC gives actors the much needed attention and support on their audition materials that they won't receive in a school setting or larger studio class, at a price that won't break the bank. We enforce an intimate class size and private lessons.
Since our beginning we've had successes such as: Julliard, UNCSA, DePaul, SUNY Purchase, and more. Jacob Garrett (Founder) also co-found The Bridge Production Group. J.G. had his life changed by getting the chance to attend college and the kindness of coaches and teachers. Being the first in his family to graduate with a degree, J.G. moved to NYC to act, direct, and develop Tools for Schools NYC in order to help other young actors change their lives the way he changed his. |
