No surprise here.

Des McAnuff's new Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, the famous "Musical Fable of Broadway," will close June 14 after four months of performances at the newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre. A national tour is being planned for 2010-11.

The casting didn't exactly inspire me and I couldn't figure out how they'd surpass the Donmar version.

Well I gotta be honest it was expected. Looked rather tacky and badly directed.
Ironic that RENT ran for 12 years, to be followed by a four month long revival. Wow...

Is the Donmar doing any musicals soon... i'd quite like to go down to the actual space and see a production.

Could not agree more, the Donmar productions should have gone over as planned

What i find funny is that the brits did a better job of an american classic than the americans did lol
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I quite liked the Physical production of this one that I saw... but the casting was waaaaaaay off!! None of the leads seemed to have enough personality to pull of the roles!

A lot of people would also agree about Oklahoma and Carousel (not the current revival though)
