'Billy Elliot' celebrates its 1700 performance tonight at the Victoria Palace theatre.
It just seems like yesterday they were going through those dreadful preview performances.

I can remember the previews and thinking "this is gonna tank" after hearing all the problems it was having. Im so pleased its reached this far and still doing great business.

I really want to see how its done on Broadway, all the changes etc, but I've no time now. I will certainly make it a priority on my next trip.
I've seen the London production 3 times now and it really is something very special.

Billy Elliot has done 1700 shows in London for one simple reason its superb piece of theatre!







I just wish they learn to love the show in New York!!!!!!!!
