According to people who've seen it, the critics are being bizarre and unfair by banging on and on and on about An Inspector Calls in their reviews, failing to actually turn in any decent review of the play they've seen this year, rather than the one 17 years ago.

Seeing the play next week; won't be reading any reviews until after then, but looking forward to it from what I've heard so far!

It was in inevitable, but very unfair. 'An Inspector Calls' was huge and 'Time' should not be put on the same level as that production.

And I was castigated last week for daring to suggest that Goold was not always a surefire safe bet...

Not castigated, I just pointed out that one "what were you THINKING? O_O" play out of an otherwise healthy run hardly made a director very inconsistent. However, if this play really isn't all that, and if his next one's a bit dubious as well, then I will willingly concede the point. :)
