'Spamalot' UK Tour 2009/10#1

From the horses mouth as it were, Mr Eric Idle, whom I met today, said it will definitely tour most likely starting very early 2010.

I wouldn't mind seeing Peter Davison return for the tour.

Also, I don't know what the exact plans are at the moment, but I do know that Sister Act was holding auditions today. =)

I won't hold my breath, I got too excited when I saw it in the Mayflower events diary the first time

Well, Tim Curry reminded me of Humpty Dumpty when he did his London run, ( with the most hilarious deadpan). Biggins seemed a natural successor.

As I stated he said it was touring! Wanna question him yourself?
He explained that they had casting problems for the first dates in Spring 2009. Now late 2009 early 2010 is when the show will tour!
He is now in Barcelona as of tonight to see the Spanish production that opened 3 weeks ago.
He is in London to see the West End show next Tue and Wed. I got the impression he liked the London production over the New York.

Biggins was up for London at one point but turned it down, so its possible at some stage.

Biggins is having a hard time selling the huge panto commissioned for him in Southampton this year so it wont be long before he wont be able to turn things down again. The 'Get Me Out Of Here' stardom phase doesn't last that long.
He would be perfect as Arthur in 'Spamalot'
(I'm off to see it tonight hopefully)

Like I said I really want to believe it, but I got too excited last time.
The reason he gave you for why the first tour didn't happen is different to what I heard (but who knows the real truth).
