'All The Fun Of The Fair' The Great British Musical 1

....bring a sick bag for this one.
Yes folks yet another cheapo production thats set to keep our dear old provincial theatres a glow this Summer!
As Skripps called them the other day, these 'JokeBox Musicals' are showing no sign of getting the dime stuck in the slot!

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

oh god.... this sounds awful!! I can't believe David Essex is in it too!!

I do like the artwork (apart from the picture!) but the tagline does has a sexual undertone! Very funny.

The story lines to some of these shows are a joke that only the people thinking them up can see!

** 'A travelling funfair provides the backdrop to a moving and contemporary love story. David plays the part of funfair owner Levi Lee who is coming to terms with the loss of his wife and the intentions of a newly divorced woman. He's also struggling to come to deal with his rebellious teenage son's tangled love life and ambitions! Danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by a gypsy fortune teller, if Levi changes his path'
This moving story with a heartbreaking twist reaches out to every parent and anyone ever torn in love. Against this tender tender backdrop is 'All The Fun Of The Fair', with hilarious crafty cons, actin packed sequences and plenty of rock and roll**

Who wrote this???
Sounds like the mixing of two episodes of 'Eastenders' and 'Coronation Street' with Mystic Meg playing the baddie!

I'm sure one of the emotional love-story lyrics is

"Come to the fair,
Where all is laid bare..."

I'll probably get shot out a cannon for saying this, but it's honestly not that bad. I saw it with my mum earlier in the year and it was very sweet. The set's really good and the cast are talented and very enthusiastic.

I thought David Essex was quite good in the tour of Aspects Of Love. But I do not like his music - and I do not like the prospect of another jukebox musical with anyone's music. lol

Saw this tonight and quite enjoyed it. I like it more than Witches of Eastwick thats for sure.

Wasn't too fond of David Essex but enjoyed the music and the story. Loved the set with the dodgems!

To be fair we only paid 7.50 each for tickets. Wouldn't have wanted to pay full price.
