Don't be cheeky!

All I managed to upload then was some personal information which I had to delete quickly.

Cheeky! No, that's Desmond Barritt in dame mode- soon to be seen as the Wizard in Wicked.

Currently on my avatar as the funniest Trinculo I have ever seen!

I've never seen Desmond Barrit but he has an awesome reputation.

I'm also afraid I don't know who/what Trinculo is but he looks a bit like he's ready to play the madam in Pacific Overtures.

Wait till you see what I'm going to upload later.

Its mostly thru Des that my love of everything theatre is so great! i saw his first ever step onto a stage and it was a professional production too! He took a bet and won!
That was in 1976. A great guy!

Now i'll have to stay up. And after a day walking around bloody National Trust ruins I don't know if I have the energy!

trinculo is one half of the comedy double act in The Tempest.

Des Barritt played the clown in Nick Hytner's RSC production which starred John Wood. It was a controversial production because Wood played the lead, Prospero as a very human character, when he is traditionally a more mystical, magical almost-wizard. I absolutely loved it.

Des B also scored a massive hit (winning an Olivier I seem to recall) as the lead (Antipholus) in Comedy of Errors in that same period with the RSC.

The man is a total genius on stage. Rather like Nigel Hawthorne, you just can't help loving any character he plays.
