I was just wondering if anyone was going? It's at the London Palladium on Sunday evening.

I can't wait!

I'm seeing it. I'm a bit apprehensive now that Barbara Cook has dropped out and it is rumoured that Jerry Herman may also. It will be great to see Angela Lansbury though and ofcourse the songs are the real reason for going.

re: Jerry Herman's Broadway

Good and bad news.
Ms Lansbury is in the country and was seen out to dinner tonight.
Mr Herman has yet to arrive and its still not confirmed he will make it.
He wasn't well enough to do the last one here awhile ago. It was said then that he was saving himself for the Palladium concert. Lets hope he feels up to it in the next 2 days.

Fingers crossed. Bless him - I remember seeing him at the Mack and Mabel opening night a few years back and he looked so frail then ... I just hope he makes this.

He's suffering with HIV, isn't he?

What a great guy. Hope he makes it. Wish I could be there, too.
The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Apparently Jerry has now pulled out, but I don't know if that's for sure.

I just can't wait to see Angela.

Very very sad. So now just go for the music and the atmosphere that will be electric on Sunday night. You've got Mrs Lovett to look forward to!
These show always have some lovely surprises that arnt made known until the night.
Jez- the names that i've seen in some of these nights- goose bump time!
Has any names dropped out of 'Chess ' as yet????

There's still a hell of a lot of 95 tickets left for 2mrw at the London Palladium.
I can see the last 5 rows (40) of the stalls being full and rest empty!
