Wicked/Children In Need...#1

Nice perfomance of What Is This Feeling on Children in Need by Idina, Annalene Beechey (Dallimore's understudy) and chorus, utterly charming.

Wicked raised twenty thousand pounds for the charity.

Idina scrubbed off make-up at the theatre, and re-applied fresh for C.I.N. Now, that's stamina: - )

I dont get how people have such a problem with the correct classifications for performers. Annalene Beechey is the Standby for Glinda. The understudy has not been on yet.

life is...chill out man. I dont agrey withy ou benny i thought it was realy good...however i think they could have picked a better song, defying grav wouldnt have peen poss with the cin set they didnt have the space at the back due to shape of stage and the tv screens. But they could have done popular or somthing like that, i guess they wanted to get the whole cast involved, so for that i think it did fab!

I dont know why they couldnt have had a camera at the apollo vic, went live there and let the cast perform defying gravity, it would be sooo much better

I totally agree that it didnt show off the show to its full potential. What would have been better would be to have had a live feed after the show from the theatre and they could have done defying gravity or possibly a pre-recorded clip from the CIN night that the show hosted in Oct.

In the defence of the performers, 'what is this feeling' is a fairly difficult song to perform in the best of circumstances (let alone 1:25 in the morning). I felt that the performances were very stiff, and they lacked a certain energy and emotion. It seemed very lifeless when the song has so much more potential than that, it lacked the 'snarlyness' that the song needed, particularly at the beginning, the song lacked a certain amount of commitment. Personally, i think that the performances from Connie Fischer and also the cast of Avenue Q were far better. In fact, I would be interested in seeing what Connie Fischer could have do with 'what is this feeling'.
