Hi,

How easy/hard is it to get these jobs? are they advertised anywhere? any particular experience needed other than customer service?

Any help/advice appreciated!

Thanks

Hi NS....FoH jobs are quite easy to get! Occasionally the theatres will advertise in THE STAGE for FoH....mostly when a show is about to open, and they have a high turn-over of staff.

Mostly, just show up at the theatre or call ahead and ask for the FoH Manager, and inquire. That way, they will let you know if they need anyone, and when it will be best to have you go for an interview.

I worked FoH at the Apollo Victoria and The London Palladium, if you want any contact details, PM me!!!

Hope this helps!!!

I would stear well clear of ATG - all the others are fine, but the Ambassadors Theatre Group is a very bad company to work for.

I agree. Delfont Mackintosh are the best in most areas.

Mostly because they are run by a man who gives a 'tosh (sorry Toss!)

I've worked FOH for all the London ATG theatres, and DeathStar is right: they are a very bad company to work for! (Christmas parties are ok though!) I currently FOH for Delfont Mackintosh and the staff are treated ALOT nicer. When I worked at the Gielgud, Cameron Mackintosh came to the theatre personally to meet and greet all the staff. He really takes care of his theatres as well- the decor is lovely in all of them.
I'd say go for a DelfontMack theatre- turnaround is really high so just drop your CV in at the stage door. Good luck! Its a cool job!
