yeah i've read the other titles, 'Lost' which is quite scary and mysterious about the story of jack the ripper and ghosts another good read, also confessions of an ugly stepsister which is equally good.

I've read all the Gregory Maguire adult novels and one of his children's fairy tale books ('Leaping Beauty'). I'm a bit of a fan. Although I actually liked 'Lost' most, which apparently most people don't.

'Son Of A Witch' feels very much like part two of a trilogy to me. Nothing was resolved, and while I get that that was the point, it still felt very unfinished, very much like there will be more. Here's hoping there is! I'll be disappointed if that's it. ;_;

I've read it, but I liked the first one better.

"I've read it, but I liked the first one better."

Same here. I suspect because it was being told from Liir's point of view rather than (mostly) Elphaba's. I find Elphie to be a much stronger character than Liir, though both books are enjoyable.

Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

I would have thought there was a sequel - it is called The Wizard of Oz.

I would agree with alterego. Writing a sequel to "Wicked" would be retarded, unless his take is revealing what we DON'T KNOW about Dorothy already.

When I opened this thread I thought you meant a sequel to the musical...Thank God I was wrong.

Well Wicked over laps with Wizard of Oz. The end of Wicked is more or less the same as the end of Wizard of Oz. The Son of a Witch the sequel to wicked is about elphaba's son Liir.
