Olivier Awards Questions#1

I'm not from the UK, but I have always wondered about something every year when I watch the Oliviers. Does anyone know why when announcing a nominee, they always include the theatre that the show plays/played at? Eg. "Come From Away at Phoenix Theatre".

I guess it's because sometimes the show has started at a non profit or government funded venue like the National etc and then transfers into the West End to a different theatre. Because they have to name the 2 theatres for those productions, they name all of the theatres for the rest?

Or maybe just to give the theatre itself some recognition?
