Don't worry there isn't another planned jukebox musical on Cher in the pipeline, don't worry, but hope I haven't given producers a hint.

If you could turn back time and go back and see a show in the past what would it be?

Here is mine;

Sunset Bouleveard (Minskoff Theatre, New York) with Glenn Close.
Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty's) with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman.
Chess (Prince Edward Theatre)
Martin Guerre (Prince Edward Theatre)
Blood Brothers (Lyric Theatre)
Evita (Prince Edward Theatre)
Finans Rainbow (St James Theatre, New York)
Chess (Imperial Theatre, New York)
Pirate Queen (Hilton Theatre, New York)
Oklahoma (St James Theatre, New York)
Carousel (Majestic Theatre, New York)
South Pacific (Majestic Theatre, New York)
King and I (St James Theatre, New York)
Sound Of Music (Lunt Fontanne Theatre, New York)
My Fair Lady (Mark Hellinger Theatre, New York)
Showboat (National Theatre, Washington)
Hair (Bitimore theatre, New York)
La Cage Aux Folles (Palace Theatre, New York)
Aida (Palace Theatre, New York)

This is really recent but I regret not seeing Sister Act, I know it is touring but surely not as big a production.
I would bring back Spring Awakening and The Drowsy Chaperone. Not sure how they would share the theatre.

If I could turn back time to see shows I have already seen in the west end,the list would include:

Sound of Music (Apollo Victoria 1981)
Billy (Drury Lane)
Sunset Boulevard (Petula Clark version)
The Other Side of the Swamp (Can't remember which on Shaftesbury Ave)
Beautiful Thing (in any of it's reincarnations!)
Into the woods (Julia McKenzie)
Oh jeez - so many! Chicago, Dear Me, Wicked, On the twentieth Century, Les Mis. Blood Brothers, Priscilla, dear god, I could go on!

I'm going to be selective and name the one production I'd have given all my pocket money to see (even as a young teenager without much of that to my name!) and which I loved from the very moment I first saw it on Channel 4 back in 1982: the RSC's 'The Life & Times of Nicholas Nickleby'. Pure theatrical nirvana! I have seen 2 amateur / revival productions but neither came close to capturing the sheer brilliance of the original.

So POL, are you asking because you're close to inventing a working proto-type of a time machine? IF I Could Turn Back Time!
Seen some shows in my time....

Hmmm....Imelda Staunton and Julia Mckenzie in into the woods?

That would top my list of shows to revisit too!

Shows I missed:
The OLC and OBC of Follies. And the OLC of Forum. And Sweeney Todd. In fact, all the original productions of Sondheim's shows!

I saw Into the Woods 3 times. It was sublime.

For those of you who remember- what about the moment when all the doors fell off their hinges revealing eeerie white backlight and smoke? A classic Richard Jones moment!

I think I've said before how annoyed I am that I was young and don't really remember much of it, but I do recall being quite unsettled by that moment, as well as actually terrified when the 'body' of Nicholas Parsons dropped from the ceiling.
