I managed to see Love Story tonight, which is headed up by the might executive producer 'Michael Ball'. if this man had a inkling for theatre production, he would cancel all previews and open this superb musical straight away.

because of the recent snow we have had, The Duchess Theatre has lost 2/3 of its electricity, so the show only had basic lighting which stayed the same through the whole show, didn't matter though as this is the best new musical to open in London for a considerably long time.

Both Emma Williams and Michael Xavier are great.

I haven't seen the transfer yet but I understand there have been some changes to the show. I guess the previews are a chance to try them and the different space out, before opening night on the 6th. I'm not due to see the show until the new year but saw it in Chichester and I thought it was gorgeous.

I admire their spirit for carrying on, and not letting the snow and associated power cuts stop them. I agree Emma and Michael are perfect as Jenny and Oliver. I hope the transfer is a huge success.

Me? Oh yes!! Not in a depressing way though. As I said not seen the transfer yet, but the original was a clever mix of humour and sadness, which just makes sad bits all the more poignant.

Looking forward to seeing it again in the new year.

Get down great there, it is a brilliant piece of theatrical art.

As for the score, I would say the lyrics are stronger than the music.

There were a few empty seats and that was in the stalls, not sure if they opened the circle I didn't check. The empty seats could be down to the snow.

Great show though.
