I thought the original Ghost movie was boring in the extreme. I also thought that the Lord Of The Rings stage musical was boring in the extreme. So nothing much excites me about this - apart from the possible presence of Laura Michele Kelly, who is fantastic.

They really need to get it sorted

Weekend was good ta love, had one to many Lagers and may have been a bit tipsy...for 3 days lol. It was a fun pride. Kelis was awesome, Adam Rickett was the funniest and worst thing ive ever seen in my life. Watched and reviewd a gay play called 'Undone' at pride which was brilliant.

I watched the parade but no-one I was with wanted to pay £10 to go into the Village.

When I saw the Coronation Street float I was impressed with the drag artist who was dressed up as Liz MacDonald: he looked like a dumpier, frumpier, older version of her.

That is, until one of my friends told me it actually was Beverley Callard.

Oooops.

From Baz in todays Daily Mail

Sharon D. Clarke, who will play Oda Mae Brown, the bogus medium (the role Whoopi Goldberg won an Oscar for), in the musical stage version of Ghost, which opens in Manchester on March 28.

I can confirm that Ghost will begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on June 22, with an official gala opening on July 19.
The show’s director Matthew Warchus is in New York this week, auditioning other lead roles.

Fabulous! Really pleased that Sharon is going to be involved with the show, she is fabulous.

And I'll still be in London come June :). Perfect timing for my parents to come and see it with me.

Hope it's good!

So glad Grease has finally announced it will go; but Ghost will a struggle on its hands being in this theatre. You cant rely on any passing trade!

Sharon will be fantastic.

Tickets on sale on Ambassadors website to 'Friends' at the mo.

I do think this doesnt seem like an obvious hit. although I guess its running costs will be low, small cast if its like the film

They must be pretty confident with the out of town run just being Manchester. I did find it strange that they wanted to move it to Bristol before London.

Sharon D Clarke will be great in the Goldberg role.
I guess it will be rather small scale if it goes along the storyline of the movie!

Was the movie based on a book?

They have the rights to use unchained melody too, so that will be a crowd pleaser.

Apart from Ms Clark, I see this as very weak casting for such a high profile production!

I like Csssie, she was great in Hair, not exactly major star casting though. I agree though that Clark is the only one who i would be dying to see.
