So soon after our last NY trip, hubbie and I are off again at the end of the month with another long list of shows to see:

Promises, Promises
La Cage
The Addams Family
Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson
Tom Wopat (in cabaret at Birdland)
The Lion King (in Las Vegas)
White's Lies
Sondheim On Sondheim
American Idiot
Lend Me A Tenor
The Tony Awards

and we still have one free evening and the matinee before the Tony's to fill (any suggestions?)

You will be shortchanged at the Tony's this year. Such an unexciting line up of new musicals - probably the only reason I watch in on TV every year. Hope you aren't going over specifically for the Tony's.

Only been once and that was the year 'Ave Q' won Best Musical. I wouldn't run to the night again.
Its bad enough on TV but there it feels twice as long.

We booked our trip a while ago (we usually go for Memorial Day) and then realised that we would be around for the Tony Awards. We went two years ago when Whoopi Goldberg did a fantastic job as host. Michael Cerveris and Julie White made a great double act for the first hour of non-televised awards - she was especially funny and irreverent. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a performance from the Glee cast.
