I love this show, unfortunately, I'm in a minority one one amongst my friends. I shall have to be Billy No mates and go alone!

1) "Curtain down on act 1" ? ACL is a one-acter, so it sounds like someone fiddled with it.

2) Very sad that you didn't comment on a friend of mine who's in the cast.

Sorry, i am on a word count with reviews so cant mention everyone. All the cast was terrific except Jamie Lomas. Who was your friend?

Yes the show became a 2 act show and a very unbalanced 2 act show actually, act 1 was very long (Ended with Music and the Mirror)

Ex cellent review, i was there last night too and really enjoyed the show. Disagree with your view on Jamie though, thought he did pretty well with what is a fairly underwritten thankless role anyway. Music and the mirror was definitely a bit of a damp squib though, was very sarah brightman circa hot gossip. My only other criticism would be that the mix on the vocals left a little to be desired on occasion.

Other than that i was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the production. And would happily recommend it.

ACL is a one-actor and should have stayed as such, just 'The Lowry' fleecing people for beer money, shame on them!

Yeah sticking an interval into the show definitely makes a huge, negative, difference. I think fleecing is a bit harsh though, arts venues need to make the money some how, and ticket sales is rarely enough as i know only too well. The lack of an interval can make a huge difference to secondary spend. But don't get me wrong i'm not making excuses for it. If a show works better as a one act, then thats what it should be.
