Quite a few sore heads in the office this morning. We won for FishTank. Agree with Avatar not sweeping the board, but not for Carey Mulligan's over rated performance.

Wonderful for Firth & Mulligan, so pleased for Waltz. I too am so pleased Avatar lost out on the big awards, even if it was just to see James Cameron look more and more huffy every time Hurt Locker beat them! Well deserved for Kathryn Bigelow and Duncan Jones too. Don't get the Kristen Stewart thing at all I'm afraid. Slightly annoyed Inglorious Basterds lost out son so much & didn't even get a best pic nom, Tarantino deserved Original Screenplay. Loved Fish Tank (Fassbender love) but I would have loved Nowhere Boy to win.

I think Inglourious Basterds should have won for it's screenplay. I also dont get the whole Kirsten Stewart thing, but i also dont get the whole Twilight thing either. And as for Michael Fassbender, i could tell you a few stories there.

Do you think it's coincidence that the episode of Dr Who she was in was the one shown tonight? The 2010 BAFTA Awards
Colin Firth had the best speech, hands down.

I like Carey Mulligan but there is no way her performance is better than Goabourey in Precious. I thought it would be her or Meryl Streep for the BAFTA. I finally watched Avatar and i liked it... but it wasn't worth the hype!

The Kristen Stewart thing is because she has been part of one of the biggest movies of the year... same for last year... franchise is going tyo be huge... she's been doing indie films in the background of it all and has a couple of big releases due out. There was no one in that category (not even the delightful Miss Mulligan) who deserved the award more for her as she was obviously the rising star... at 19 she'd done more than some of the nominees will do full stop!

yes... i'm a fan lol
