The cast they had this year was perfect for a traditional panto but what did they put them in! Jack Bloody Frost
Back to panto next year hopefully. They are always one of the last to announce so dont hold your breath.

Back in the Qdos days they would announce a year in advance like everyone else.

Im hoping its something good, and that will sell. I wondered if it would be Les Mis (now confirmed for Aug/Sep) or WWRY if it extends its tour. Love it or hate it at least it would be a seller, especially in the quieter January time.

Oh a side note I always thought Miracle on 34th Street would make a nice Christmas musical

What's Brighton doing with 'A Christmas Carol' do you think?
I just cant imagine this being done any other way than the glum way in which it is written. It simply doesnt translate to the panto fold.

(I think this may be the Birmingham Rep production, done in association with ATG?)

I saw the Brum Rep one, it was very good. It was stylised in a Tim Burton way, and Scrooge looked a lot like the PEnguin from Batman Returns!

lol the cast were really good, loads of West End talent, and Hadley Fraser who was criminally underused, but great to see him back in the UK

Aladdin at Wimbledon was a dissapointment so I hope Peter Pan is much much better.

Barrowman's done a lot of pantos with one in Wimbledon, two in Birmingham, one in Cardiff and now Glasgow.

Birmingham Rep are doing The Secret Garden this Christmas, in what I hear is their final show before closing...dont know if this is permanant or for a facelift.

Anyway having seen a few Christmas shows there I STRONGLY recommend people make the journey, great quality productions, always with brilliant casts and as a venue its perfect. One of my favourites ive ever been to

Its a massive facelift of the whole area around The Rep. The REp is long over due this facelift. I think its closed for 2, nearly 3 years?

Close enough to be offended! And it surely has to be harder to get to Wolverhampton by train than Plymouth???
