Harry Towb Has Died.
The wonderful character actor, Harry Towb, has passed away.
His career coverer all mediums but he appeared regularly on the West End stage in such major musicals as 'Barmitvah Boy', Mushnick in the original Cameron production of 'Little Shop Of Horrors', 'Anything Goes' with Elaine Paige and 'Guys And Dolls'. 'Guys And Dolls' was one of hundreds of appearances at the National Theatre. He appeared in major plays such as 'Brighton Beach Memoirs' at the National and its West End transfer.
40 years of TV worked included 'Z Cars' and many of episodes of 'Dr. Who'.

Sad - he was a good, reliable actor. He was also in Funny Thing Happened on The Way to The Forum at the National.

A truly great character actor - my father would see anything he was in.

The only reason I persuaded the 'rents (that's folks or parents for those of you over a certain age but I'm learning from the youth on this board) to see the original London production of Little Shop of Horrors was because he was in it.

Wasn't he is FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as a replacement Tevye in the late 1960's?
