I couldn't stand the prehistoric pace of Lupone's GYPSY and ran like hell at the interval.Felt I was at the wrong party at Elaine Paige's ANYTHING GOES many years ago. I wish I'd left SPRING AWAKENING which was an interesting show but an abysmal staging.Recently left HALF A SIXPENCE at the interval having heard about banjos about 57 times.My philosophy is: if you took a mouthful of a dinner and it tasted off, you wouldn't eat the rest to see if it got better!
I left during the intermission of Wonderful Town. I was bored out of my mind.

I walked out of Breakfast at Tiffany's at the interval as it was just dire. I was tempted to walk out of A Very Very Very Dark Matter as it was awful and offensive, but there was no interval and I was in the middle of a row.

I wish I'd have left at interval last week at the Young Vic's Death of a Salesman.I love me some Arthur Miller, but holly **** what a boring ass play full of unlikable, delusional, dip****s.Performances were great, but I was absolutely bored senseless by the material.
Just had 3 nights of concerts in a row. Ruthie Henshall-brilliant; Megan Hilty-a powerhouse with 40 piece orchestra supporting, AND Megan Mullally 'Nancye & Beth'--40mins of that crxp and I was out of there. Musicians were great, their harmonies were great but what were these 2 hillbillies in pink trackies doing up there,?and that non-dialogue talking about 2 chairs the entire time!! The 'dancing', in unison I'll admit, was something between Cabaret and line dancing. Obscure songs but really--Harbour Lights in a black out doing circles with lights at the end of their fingers?? Amateur night in Hicksville with these 2 hillbillies[sorry hillbillies].A review said the best were the last 10mins. I was back in my hotel by then with a cold one on the balcony---utter peace but many thanks to Ruthie and the other Megan for sheer musical brilliance.
I left during the intermission of Hamilton in San Francisco. I was a bit jetlagged and I almost blew away from the airconditioning that was aimed directly at my seat.Did not really like the show anyway so decided to leave.
Twice. That's all. I didn't pay for either ticket so personally didn't feel too hard done by.- Rock of Ages. I don't think the film is great, unsurprisingly, but it's definitely better than this was at the Shaftesbury. I most remember Ollie Tompsett being almost entirely checked out behind the eyes (great singing, though), and Simon Lipkin so hammy he could have been the pig in Betty Blue Eyes... I left at the interval because I simply wasn't having fun; I love 80s power rock, but really didn't love this.- a musical adaptation of The Remains Of The Day that was at Southwark or one of those other tiny theatres. It's one of my favourite books, and I remember being vaguely appalled that someone would try and musicalise a story that's almost entirely about repressed feelings only being revealed at the very end of the story. The score was terrible - or at least unlikeable - and I think most of the lyrics were unintelligible as well (doing sound in those spaces is always a nightmare - I remember talking to the team who did Floyd Collins at Southwark and how difficult they found it). No sense in staying for the second half.
I walked out of The Commitments when the UK tour came to Edinburgh. Not a single cast member was committed to that show, they were done with it. Everyone was sleep walking and giving it the bare minimum.
Have walked out of a number of shows. First one was ages ago on Broadway: "Eubie," a revue of the songs of Eubie Blake, one of the many revues that came along in the wake of "Ain't Misbehavin'"Most recent: "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" I only had 5 theater slots in London last April and to think I wasted one of them on that. Ugh.
I love the differing opinions on here- so many people talking about walking out of big shows- even Hamilton! That's a pricey walk out there...I know what Plannietink08 means about The Commitments - the UK tour wasn't great. I was expecting big things but it did feel ironically uncommitted.I haven't seen Rock of Ages because I know i'd be walking out of that one.

Different strokes I guess It is a classic piece of American theater. Saw it with Dennehy. Taped it from Showtime and later burned it to a DVD. Walked out of Stones In My Pocket
