BWW Previews: AJ Lambert's IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS 09/08 at The Rrazz Room A.J. Lambert, granddaughter of Frank Sinatra, makes her RRazz Room and New Hope concert debut. A singer who continues the family tradition of song interpretation, A.J.'s unique perspective on her legendary grandfather's life and music is shared in this new show. She will share the stories no one else can tell while performing, in its entirety, the seminal album that turned Frank Sinatra's life around and has made fans of countless audiences, young and old, for over 60 years.

AJ Lamber's newly recorded album CAREFUL YOU is a collection of unique reinventions of songs by modern artists like Spoon, TV on the Radio and John Cale, as well as some of her grandfather's deep cuts, such as "Sleep Warm" and "I'll Be Seeing You." On CAREFUL YOU, AJ collaborated with producers Daniel Schlett (The War on Drugs, Amen Dunes) and Boshra AlSaadi (TEEN, Janka Nabay) to create a poignant and eclectic album about heartbreak - not unlike some of her grandfather's most beloved records. Several songs are just AJ's voice atop a delicate sea of synths, while others feature a supergroup of some of New York's coolest musicians: drummer Parker Kindred (Jeff Buckley, Joan as Policewoman), bassist Josh Werner (Lee Perry, Wu Tang Clan), and keyboard wizard Eliot Krimsky. (Audiophiles will note that the album was mastered by the legendary Greg Calbi). AJ will be touring in support of CAREFUL YOU throughout 2018.

And in another musical incarnation, AJ's tour of prestigious intimate clubs in New York (54 Below), Los Angeles (Gardenia), Palm Springs (the Purple Room), and Las Vegas (the Space) showcases her own interpretations of complete Sinatra albums, classics such as In the Wee Small Hours, accompanied only by John Boswell on piano. "The audience couldn't get enough. The house was packed to capacity and met her with uproarious applause and enthusiasm...it was immediately clear how much soul, beauty, and respect Lambert possesses not only as a vocalist, but as a person, inside and out." wrote Broadway World's Amy Oestreicher.

AJ earned her indie-rock stripes as bassist in various bands (including the widely acclaimed Here We Go Magic and a reunion of seminal British punk icons the Homosexuals). She produced her mother Nancy's excellent self-titled 2004 album (yep, the one with Morrissey on it) and hosts the "Third Generation with AJ Lambert" show on Sirius XM's "Siriusly Sinatra" channel.

Eliot Krimsky is a composer and songwriter, co-founder and lead singer of the band Glass Ghost and keyboardist. Glass Ghost has been called "delicately brave" by Andy McCluskey of OMD, and "weird and mournful yet highly rhythmic by Time Out New York. The band has been featured on NPR, HBO and has played shows with the likes of Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors and Sharon Van Etten. In 2015 Glass Ghost did an interactive new-media performance at Lincoln Center presented by Performance Space 122. Krimsky also works with Open House who's piece "Rememberer" had it's Washington D.C premier at American Dance Institute and it's NYC premier at BAM for the Next Wave festival. Krimsky has played with Meshell Ndegeocello as well as the band Here We Go Magic - which whom he's played numerous shows - including at the O2 Arena London and at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Krimsky's music has been highly featured on film, television and new media - appearing on PBS, HBO, New York Times and at film festivals world wide. His composition for the film Supergirl was recently aired on PBS Independent LENS. His music has also been dance for choreographer Beth Gill's "Portrait Study" - which opened for Laurie Anderson in her Live Ideas Festival. Krimsky is currently in mixing stages for his first solo album entitled 'Wave in Time.'
