It was announced last month that Glory Days, the musical by Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner, will receive an original cast album over a year after it closed on Broadway.

The album of Glory Days, which closed after its opening night performance, will be distributed by Friends of Ghostlight, an extension of Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records. The entire original cast will return for the album, they head into the studio starting today, July 2nd. The cast recording is anticipated for release later this year.

It was announced on May 7, 2008 that the musical Glory Days, which had opened the previous evening at Circle In The Square Theate, had already played its last performance. Glory Days began performances on Tuesday, April 22 and officially played 17 previews and one regular performance.

Producers John O'Boyle and Ricky Stevens said, "We adore Glory Days and everyone connected with this production.  Sadly, given the over-night reviews and our low advance sales, we believe it is prudent to close the show on Broadway immediately."

Glory Days received its world premiere at DC's Signature Theatre (January 2008) in a sold-out, critically-lauded production, directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Putting It Together), who recreates his staging for Broadway.  Glory Days marks Signature's first direct-to-Broadway transfer.

The production features the acclaimed Signature cast: Steven Booth (Will), Andrew C. Call (Andy), Adam Halpin (Skip), and Jesse JP Johnson (Jack).  Glory Days marks the Broadway debuts for Booth, Halpin and Johnson.

Glory Days is the story of four best friends who reunite one year after high school graduation, only to find out how much they have grown apart.  As they attempt to understand each other's differences, they soon realize that nothing can compare to the Glory Days of high school when life was simpler.
At 23, Nick Blaemire (Music and Lyrics) is making his Broadway debut this season both as a songwriter with Glory Days and as a performer in The Ensemble of Cry-Baby. James Gardiner (Book), 24, is making his debut as a book writer with Glory Days

Led by director Eric Schaeffer, the creative team also includes James Kronzer (scenic design), Sasha Ludwig-Siegel (costume design), Mark Lanks (lighting design) and Peter Hylenski (sound design).  Vocal arrangements are by Nick Blaemire and Jesse Vargas.  Music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations are by Jesse Vargas.

Glory Days is produced by John O'Boyle, Ricky Stevens, Richard E. Leopold and Lizzie Leopold, Max Productions, Alan Mingo, Jr. and Broadway Across America in association with Signature Theatre.
