Torsson, also known as the Fourth Best Band in Lund, has been playing together for almost 38 years. A remarkable period in Swedish pop music. There are a handful of bands in the country that has a few more years on his track record, but most of which started in the late 70s have long since thrown in the towel.
Right from the beginning they took away from tomorrow's musical environment. Regarding both the songs' content and theme, and in the choice of band name. A mild protest seventies prog rock, sticky dance band music and overworked pompous rock expression. Torsson chose a different path. Wrote songs about lost football games, hunting accidents, agricultural fairs and small-town fairgrounds. The song "It Was played Better Ball" from the first LP has become Thor's most famous song; something of an "anthem" of the Football Sweden.
The fans have grown accustomed to it, a new Torsson disc in about five, six years. Seventh plate, came in November 2012 - Greetings from leave Committee. Låtarnai usual small stories from everyday life. Not 100% true, but always rooted in life. Themes involving both geography, performance anxiety, traffic jams, being blown out of money and socializing with neighbors.
The music has been chiselled front on the band's three guitars, bass, drums and organ, with influences from everywhere; prog (revalued genre), British indie, rock steady, pubrock to name a few.
The new songs have been well received when Torsson in 2013 been out on his leave Tour around the country. In 2014, Time off tour to roll forward and September 27, the man to Ystad Theatre to deliver a mix of new and old hits.
