The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance provides students with individualized attention in the creative disciplines of the performing arts. Our music program teaches students to appreciate the rich heritage of musical arts while providing them with comprehensive training. Students interested in theater explore the theoretical and pragmatic aspects of productions through both analysis and performance experience. And our dance program focuses on jazz, ballet and modern techniques, preparing students for any graduate school or dance company they wish to join. Whether they pursue their interests professionally or recreationally, our graduates possess the creative, collaborative and analytical skills necessary for success in professional training programs, graduate studies and careers in such fields as education and social services.

THE EXES, a new 'bromantic' comedy written by award-winning author Lenore Skomal and directed by Magda S. Nyiri will begin previews on Thursday, August 7th and run through Saturday, October 5th, Off-Broadway at Theatre Row.
Seattle International Dance Festival Winter Mini-Fest Opening Performance Features Shura Baryshnikov

The 2nd Annual Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF) Winter Mini-Fest features four celebrated choreographers from around the world: Khambatta Dance Company's (KDC) artistic director Cyrus Khambatta, Shura Baryshnikov (Rhode Island) Gabriel Forestieri (NYC) and Danny Tan (Singapore). Together they will unite elements of their collective dance backgrounds swap dancers and present three emotionally-charged performances over two weekends. The concept of producing new pieces in a short time frame is one of the signature components of SIDF.
Carnegie Hall Names Concert Series The Joyce And George T. Wein Shape Of Jazz Series

Carnegie Hall today announced that in recognition of a gift of $1 million from legendary jazz producer George Wein and honoring his incredible legacy presenting leading jazz artists at the Hall, The Shape of Jazz concert series will be formally named the Joyce and George T. Wein Shape of Jazz series. The series kicks off this Saturday, November 10, at 9:00 p.m. at a sold-out Zankel Hall performance by Cuban-born drummer, composer, bandleader, and 2011 MacArthur "Genius" Fellow Dafnis Prieto featuring his 17-piece orchestra.
Trinity Rep Announces A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Trinity Rep is proud to present its annual holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol. Noted for being a new production each year, the 2018 production has been inspired by a traditional telling of the famed Dickens classic. This year the production will be directed Mark Valdez, who directed Fuente Ovejuna, or Like Sheep to Water at Trinity Rep in 2017.
