Paisley Park Sets Dates for CELEBRATION 2018 to Honor Prince Rogers Nelson

Prince's Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota has announced that attendees to Celebration 2017 can reserve tickets to next year's planned Celebration 2018 now, past attendees can make reservation deposits for a comparable 2018 ticket; Celebration tickets will require a $100 deposit and VIP Celebration tickets, $200. Ticket reservation on-sale period for the general public will begin in several months.

Celebration 2018 will take place between April 19-22nd at Prince's iconic home and creative sanctuary, Paisley Park.

The Celebration 2017 event this past April was a tremendous success, welcoming fans from around the world into an immersive four-day experience at Paisley Park honoring the life and legacy of Prince. Attendees enjoyed four days of live music, rare concert screenings, panel discussions and special presentations highlighting Prince's tremendous talent, influence and importance as a composer, musician, producer, live performer and filmmaker. The multi-national Prince fan community included individuals from the UK, South Africa, Japan, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Norway, Netherlands, Australia, Thailand, France, Canada and the USA.

The event made history in bringing to Paisley Park musicians crossing all four decades of Prince's performing career, from The Time, The Revolution, New Power Generation and3RDEYEGIRL. In addition, the first day featured a surprise live performance from one of Prince's formative musical inspirations, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Beyond live performances, the event featured thoughtful panel discussions with a broad list of close creative collaborators and friends spanning five decades in Prince's life - from his childhood in North Minneapolis through to his stratospheric success in the 80s, his groundbreaking and chameleon-like artistic development in the 90s and 2000s, and his creative output through recent years. These special panel presentations provided a platform to share with attendees unique insights, observations and learnings gathered through a multitude of working experiences with Prince. Among the panelists were past musicians, recording engineers, graphic designers, photographers, video producers, stylists, clothing designers and production and business personnel.

The Celebration events at Paisley Park will continue to reflect the spirit of the inaugural Prince: A Celebration event, hosted by Prince and held at Paisley Park June 7-13th, 2000. This event welcomed fans from around the world into a unique Prince focused experience that showcased Paisley Park, many of Prince's rarely seen stage outfits and instruments, alongside special events and exclusive music performances. In subsequent years, Prince hosted similar immersive fan experiences at Paisley Park, first in 2001 with Prince: A Celebration "The Rainbow Children" and in 2002 with Xenophobia. Last month's Celebration 2017 carried on in this spirit of community and connection, welcoming Prince fans from everywhere into a truly unique and celebratory experience highlighting the life, creative works, unique achievements and enduring legacy of Prince. Prince sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. He won seven GRAMMY® Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award® for the film "Purple Rain," all of which are displayed at Paisley Park.
