The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts' Broadway Songbook series returns June 13-15 with a tribute to Betty Comden and Adolph Green, who co-wrote some of the most beloved and successful Hollywood musicals and Broadway shows in the mid-20th century. Seating for Broadway Songbook: Comden and Green is on the Ordway's Music Theater Stage, providing a unique backstage experience.

Broadway Songbook offers an intimate, personal look into the stories behind the songs that created Broadway. Comden and Green's partnership spanned six decades. Their quintessential style defined the sophistication and wit of New York City and classic Broadway musical comedy. They earned accolades and applause from their Broadway start with On the Town (1944) to the film classic Singin' In the Rain, from Wonderful Town to Hallelujah, Baby! They won 12 Tony Awards, received two Oscar nominations, were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the American Theatre Hall of Fame, and received Kennedy Center Honors. Each of their shows and movies overflow with show-stopping musical moments.

On stage for five performances, Broadway Songbook: Comden and Green is hosted by James A. Rocco, Ordway's vice president of programming and producing artistic director. The cast features Robert Droddy, Elena Glass, Amasia Gordon, Reid Harmsen, Peggy O'Connell, Carl Schoeborn, Erin Schwab, Kirby Trymucha-Duresky and Regina Marie Williams.

Written by Rocco and Jeffrey P. Scott with musical arrangements by Raymond Berg and Albert Evans, Broadway Songbook: Comden and Green celebrates one of the musical comedy world's most accomplished duos.
