State University Theatre is presenting its second show of the season with a world premiere performance written and directed by SDSU Theatre professor W. James Wood. Chameleon Love is a heart wrenching and intense show that brings up a family’s demons from the past that forces their family dynamic to spin out of control. Chameleon Love begins as the Fitzgerald family comes together in the tight confines of a sterile hospital room when Aiden, the youngest, has fallen ill. Battles are fought and emotions betrayed as the family must confront the father’s transgressions while being threatened with an uncertain future. An apparition of Aiden’s younger self is a constant presence serving as a reminder of the moment when innocence was lost. Chameleon Love is a powerful representation of love, pain, and forgiveness even under the most impossible circumstances. Performances run November 18th-22nd and 24th at 7:30 p.m. with a 2:00 matinee on the 23rd. There will be a post-show discussion immediately following the performance on Friday, November 21st. Chameleon Love contains mature themes and language.
