With a sophisticated and amusing production, Barnum has been standing out as the great theatrical success in the city of Sao Paulo, in the post-pandemic. It was between one and another well-attended session that Barchilon kindly granted us this exclusive interview talking about influences, beginning of his career, Barnum and future projects.

Barnum, finally gets a Brazilian staging. With Portuguese version by Claudio Botelho, direction by Gustavo Barchilon, choreography by Alonso Barros and musical direction by Thiago Gimenes, we have in the cast the talents of Murilo Rosa for the title role and Kiara Sasso playing the powerful Charity. Other highlights are the actresses Giulia Nadruz bringing to life the antagonist Jenny Lind, , Diva Menner in the role of the mythical Joice Heth and actor Matheus Paiva as Tom Thumb.

Silvio Santos Vem Ai!, Uma Comedia Musical (Here Comes Silvio Santos! A Musical Comedy) written by Marilia Toledo and Emilio Boechat, directed by Fernanda Chamma and Marilia Toledo, presents a small part of the life of the television host and businessman Senor Abravanel (played by actor Velson D'Souza) from his childhood, when he was a street vendor in Rio de Janeiro, until in the 90s, right after the consolidation of SBT television network. Silvio Santos Vem Ai! Is a Paris Cultural's first theatrical production and opens on March 13 at 033 Rooftop (Teatro Santander) at Complexo JK Iguatemi.

Drury Lane Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with 42nd Street, with music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, and original Broadway direction and dances by Gower Champion. 42nd Street is based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and was originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick. This production is directed by Michael Heitzman with choreography by Jared Grimes. 42nd Street runs now through January 7, 2018 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. American Theater Company (ATC) opens musical comedy Xanadu, the final production of its Legacy Season, this Sunday, June 5. Presented as a tribute to ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli-a not-so-secret fan of this camp classic-Xanadu is directed by Lili-Anne Brown and runs at ATC now through July 17, 2016. The production has music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same title.
