The National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has welcomed a new cast to the West End production, and last night (30 June 2015) held a special gala performance with celebrity V.I.P. guests at the Gielgud Theatre. Last month the play was one of the big winners at the Tony Awards® in New York, winning 5 awards including Best New Play. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time recently extended booking in London, releasing over 120,000 tickets and is now booking until 13 February 2016.

Academy Award winning actress Julianne Moore was honored on June 8, 2015 by the Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter at the annual 'Forget-Me-Not' Gala, An Evening to End Alzheimer's at The Pierre in Manhattan. Ms. Moore received the Chapter's Creative Leadership Award for her stunning portrayal of a college professor diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease in Still Alice. Maine State Music Theatre Finds Its Talent for Summer 2015
When the audience thinks of casting for a Broadway musical, they conjure up the image of a darkened auditorium, an artist onstage peering into the glare and hearing Zach's voice from out of the void with its curt dismissal, 'Thank you.' Since its smash opening on Broadway in 1975 A Chorus Line has come to embody in poetic terms the uphill struggles of countless artists who toil every day on stage and off in pursuit of the metier they love. The rituals of auditioning and casting calls are integral to the life of an actor or theatre director, and each year they are played out in countless theatres large and small across the country, a crucial part of the puzzle that goes into shaping a successful season.
What are the feelings of a husband and wife when they want to conceive a child, but can't? What are the ramifications for that childless family when they are given the opportunity to adopt the 'perfect' child? What is it like when that family becomes aware that their child is autistic? How do parents cope with a child who screams when he becomes frustrated and doesn't have the words to express his needs or habitually follows a pattern over and over, such as reading the same book again and again, or can't socialize with others? What emotionally happens to that family when that child disappears?
Seven artists have created awards for each of the Governor's Arts Awards six categories and the Shelley Award to be presented at the 34th annual event on Tuesday, March 24 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, 340 N. 3rd St. Scroll down for a sneak peek at some of the works!
