Happy opening! THIS FLAT EARTH, directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman, held its Opening Night at Playwrights Horizons last night! The performance marked the play's World Premiere. Other members of the theatre community, including Lois Smith and Jamie Brewer, joined the cast and crew for last night's celebration.

Directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Familiar, Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at Playwrights; Indecent), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season. Previews began Friday, October 12 for the Playwrights Horizons' production of THE WHALE, the New York premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise). Tony Award-nominee Jonathan Groff performed two solo concerts at Joe's Pub on Father's Day, June 20th, at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Groff, who guest starred on GLEE this season with former SPRING AWAKENING co-star Lea Michele, was accompanied by Jonathan Haffiner, Craig Taborn, Eivind Opsvik, Ben Perowsky, and Kenny Wollesen for both performances at Joe's Pub.
