Black Ensemble Theater opens its 2018 Season (Movers and Shakers) with Hail, Hail Chuck: A Tribute to Chuck Berry, written by L. Maceo Ferris a senior member of the Black Ensemble Theater's BPI (Black Playwrights Initiative) and directed by Black Ensemble Theater Associate Director Daryl D. Brooks. Hail, Hail Chuck: A Tribute to Chuck Berry will be performed at the Black Ensemble Theater Cultural Center, 4450 N. Clark Street in Chicago, February 17 - April 1, 2018. The press opening is scheduled for Sunday, February 25 at 3 p.m.

ReGroup's FOLLIES OF GOD Benefit and Book Launch for James Grissom's forthcoming book, 'Follies of God: Tennessee Williams and the Women of the Fog' was held February 23, 2015 at TBG Mainstage Theatre. Joyseekers Theatre brings Russian playwright Maxim Gorky's classic play, The Lower Depths, to a contemporary American audience in a brand new adaptation by Australian playwright Tim Redmond, currently running through April 7 at the Connelly Theatre, NYC. Set against the backdrop of 1930's depression-era New York, Redmond draws parallels between pre-revolution Russia and a country quickly losing its grasp on the American Dream.
