Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the nation’s premier ensemble theater company, is opening its stunning new in-the-round Ensemble Theater in Honor of Helen Zell with ensemble member Yasen Peyankov’s extraordinarily funny and lyrical adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Seagull, April 28–June 12, 2022.

Abingdon Theatre Company recently presented Broadway on the Bowery, a curated series of downtown cabaret, directed by Abingdon Theatre Company Artistic Director Chad Austin, to be held monthly at the intimate entertainment venue Duane Park (308 Bowery - between Bleecker & Houston Streets). The inaugural event was held on Tuesday, March 26th at 7:00pm.

It's official! Barbra Streisand is the voice of a lifetime, OUR lifetime. Legendary singer Barbra Streisand has made music history yet again- this time for having ten of her albums reach #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her latest album 'Partners,' was just released on September 16th from Columbia Records, and sold over 196,000+ copies in its first week. This makes Streisand the female artist with the most #1 albums and the first artist with #1's in each of the past six decades. It's no wonder she remains Broadway's greatest export.

Disturbing. Gruesome. Funny. seat of your pants Productions mounts a revival of the critically acclaimed production of Trainspotting that first rocked Los Angeles in 2002. Entertaining and shocking in equal measure, Harry Gibson's stage adaptation of Irvine Welsh's cult novel about Scottish heroin addicts continues through April 13 at the Elephant Theatre, with award-winning director Roger Mathey again at the helm. a MaMa in association with Loco7 Dance Puppet Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Urban Odyssey, a dance puppet theatre piece conceived by Federico Restrepo and Denise Greber, designed, directed and choreographed by Federico Restrepo, with original music composed by Obie Award Winner Elizabeth Swados, and text by Elias Khoury. Loco7 is celebrating their 25th Anniversary season this year. Urban Odyssey, part of La MaMa's 50th Anniversary season, runs Off-Broadway from March 22 - April 8, 2012 in a limited engagement at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery in New York City. Signature Theatre Company announced yesterday seven productions for its inaugural 2012 season at Signature Center, the company's new Frank Gehry-designed permanent home opening in February 2012. Signature Center will allow the Company to expand its programming, introduce new initiatives, and build audiences. Featuring three intimate theatres, a Studio Theatre, rehearsal studio and a shared lobby with café and bookstore, Signature Center will be both a theatre community hub and a neighborhood destination.
