Carrie Underwood, made her highly-anticipated return to Las Vegas with back-to-back sold-out shows of REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency over the weekend, Sept. 22-23, 2023. Friday also marked the release of Underwood’s Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition), featuring six new tracks, giving fans an additional reason to celebrate. Check out photos!

Fans cheered and sang along to songs such as “Before He Cheats,” “Blown Away, “Cry Pretty,” and the showstopping finale, “Something in the Water” and more hits from her career. Today in Times Square, famed Q104 classic rock radio host Jim Kerr climbed out onto the marquee of Hard Rock Cafe to announce that the five-time Tony Award-nominated musical ROCK OF AGES will return to the New York stage this summer in a special 10th Anniversary Production at New World Stages (340 W 50th St). To mark the announcement, and the milestone anniversary, he was joined by alumni from throughout the musical's Broadway run, who performed 'Don't Stop Believin' live above Times Square. The return production of the musical - produced by Michael Cohl/S2BN Entertainment in association with Barry Habib, Scott Prisand/Seth Fass, Tony Smith, and Randi Zuckerberg/Mara Burros-Sandler - begins performances on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, for a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, September 29, 2019. Let's be honest: it doesn't really matter what I, or any critic, have to say about Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again. We know what we're signing up for: campy, fun covers of ABBA songs, a plot that only sort of matters, a bunch of stars having an absolute blast, and pretty island panoramas. The movie's soundtrack, much like its predecessor, rides more on the delightful fun of the songs than on their emotional depth or Broadway-ready performances. The key difference between this soundtrack and the 2008 original is that the former plays, at least in part, to audiences' affection for the latter. In fact, several moments correspond almost directly, giving us a chance to see how far these characters have (or have not) come, which covers for the fact that most of these songs are pulled from ABBA's second tier.

To celebrate the highly-anticipated Broadway return of EVITA, BroadwayWorld invited readers to get into the Argentine spirit by channeling the iconic First Lady Eva Perón to win a pair of tickets to the show and dinner for two at the Chimichurri Grill in New York City. Many of you rose to the challenge, flung arms into the air and submitted some very creative entries - from Evita-inspired moments snuck into amateur shows (including a couple of Evita productions) to 'addressing the People' on the balcony of the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, and even striking the iconic Evita pose in some very original settings.

Broadway's Boy George Euan Morton hosted the 2008 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence on Tuesday October 21, 2009 at New York City's famed Players Club in Manhattan. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Stewart F. Lane and President Helen Marie Guditis opened the evening with a welcome to the honorees, presenters and guests at this fifth anniversary of The Theatre Museum.

THREE CHANGES a new play by Nicky Silver, will open at Playwrights Horizons on September 16th, 2008. Directed by Tony Award nominee Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production began previews on Friday August 22nd.

Theatricals will present the world premiere of Tony Glazer's new play STAIN, directed by Scott C. Embler. STAIN will begin performances on Friday, July 11, open on July 23 and run through August 23, 2008 at The Kirk at Theatre Row (410 West 42 Street).

The 11th Annual Broadway Bears auction line-up, presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on February 17 at 7PM, is here! Each year, 'Broadway Bears: A Costumed Teddy Bear Auction' is a much-anticipated BC/EFA event. These specially-designed bears (often using actual material from their respective Broadway productions, and autographed by the stars) raised $130,000 last year. BC/EFA hopes to reach even higher this winter!
