Set at the house of writer, Charles Condomine, and his wife, Ruth…..One evening, Charles invites local eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to hold a seance at his house. He asks along his friends, Dr. and Mrs. Bradman, intending to gather character inspiration from Madame Arcati for his latest book. Despite initially thinking the seance has been a failure, it soon becomes clear that Madame Arcati has unwittingly brought back Charles' first wife, Elvira, to haunt him. Once in his house, Elvira is unable to leave and, as she cannot be seen or heard by Ruth, she causes all kinds of mischievous trouble between the married couple. Intensely funny and character-driven, Blithe Spirit combines farce, emotion, and wit to great effect. Performances are April 25th thru April 28th at the Columbus Dance Theatre, 592 E. Kneehigh's production of Noel Coward's BRIEF ENCOUNTER, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, will be produced live on stage at the Empire Cinema Haymarket in London's West End by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, Jenny & Steve Wiener and The Old Vic. Following previews from 2 March 2018, the production will open on 11 March and play a limited season until 2 September 2018. Tickets are on sale from today.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of celebrated playwright, actor and novelist Sam Shepard, who, as BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, passed away on Thursday, July 27th at age 73. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York were dimmed in his memory yesterday, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

ENTER LAUGHING, The Musical, the hilarious Broadway-bound production, is now in rehearsal at the New 42nd Street Studios. The first preview is August 9. A limited number of 'Pay What You Can' tickets will be available on that date after 2 pm at the Box Office. The show runs through September 4.
