Once the Blue Fairy grants Geppetto his wish, the new father finds his parenting skills are a bit rough. Feeling he is unwanted, Pinocchio runs away to become a star in a traveling show. Geppetto must negotiate through a maze of adventures and comic encounters to find him.
Students from the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) will perform in four nationally distributed choreography DVDs for the Music Theatre International (MTI) Broadway Junior collection of musicals. The news was announced today by Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) and educational musical theatre consultancy firm iTheatrics. iTheatrics, which is based in New York City, is producing the DVDs, which will feature original choreography by its chief choreographer, Steven G. Kennedy.
The cast will feature Karen Mason as Sue. Ms. Mason has appeared in Broadway'sWonderland, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Play Me a Country Song as well as Goodspeed's Heartbeats at The Norma Terris Theatre. Opposite her as Dan will be Tony-nominated Mark Jacoby whose credits include Broadway's Elf, Sweeney Todd, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime,Showboat, Grand Hotel, The Phantom of the Opera and Sweet Charity. Mr. Jacoby performed at the Goodspeed Opera House in On The Twentieth Century.
