Broadway's Allegiance, a new musical inspired by Takei's true-life story, opens on November 8, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Previews begin October 6. On Tuesday night, September 15, Ambassador and Mrs. Mario L. De Leon Jr., Consul General of the Philippines held a cocktail reception at their residence for the shining star of the Philippines, Lea Salonga celebrating her return to Broadway in the new musical Allegiance.

In a new clip from the web series TREK TO BROADWAY, the actor and the show's producers search for a female star to join the cast.

Broadway in Bryan Park continued its 2015 program today, Thursday, August 6 - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the performances throughout the day! Allegiance - A New American Musical has been eyeing a Broadway run since it premiered at San Diego's Old Globe last fall. Since then, a New York City reading was held, led by Lea Salonga, George Takei and Telly Leung, all of whom starred in the San Diego production; there was also a recent backers screening in Austin.
