The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is thrilled to announce the opening of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie on stage June 12 to July 6. Becky Gulsvig, plays small-town girl Millie Dillmount, who heads to New York City in 1922 to start a new life in a city filled with intrigue, jazz and a whole new set of rules for love! Her new flapper lifestyle leads to a series of madcap adventures when she checks into a hotel owned by a dragon-lady villainess audiences are sure to love to hate - played by none other than Ogunquit's favorite, Sally Struthers.

Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' THE GREAT GATSBY will open early in the Summer 2013 season, hitting theaters on May 10 in the U.S. and Canada. Today in 2002, Thoroughly Modern Millie opened at the Marquis Theatre, where it ran for 903 performances. Thoroughly Modern Millie is a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori, lyrics by Dick Scanlan, and a book by Richard Morris and Scanlan. Based on the 1967 film of the same name, it tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love - a thoroughly modern aim in 1922, when women were just entering the workforce. The production subsequently won six 2002 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Actress in a Musical for Sutton Foster.

Celebrated performer Neil Patrick Harris will direct the premiere of RENT at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. Responding to the mixed reactions of his casting Vanessa Hudgens as Mimi, Harris has now spoken out in support of the High School Musical actress.
