Maurice Hines, best known for Eubie!, Uptown….It's Hot!, and Hot Feet, returns to Feinstein's/54 Below (June7-8) in Tappin' Thru Life with the internationally acclaimed All Female Jazz Orchestra DIVA. Along with tappers John Manzari and Leo Manzari, he pays tribute to his brother Gregory and their lives in show business, from TV to film, Broadway, Vegas, and beyond. Featuring songs like "Luck Be A Lady," "Smile," and "Come Fly with Me," Tappin' Thru Life celebrates the performers that inspire Hines, from Frank Sinatra to Lena Horne.

Lincoln Center's American Songbook continued this week with a thrilling performance from Broadway veteran Jenifer Lewis.

The Music Box Theatre box office (239 West 45th Street) opened earlier this week for tickets to Shuffle Along Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a new production that presents both the 1921 musical itself, and additionally details the events that catalyzed the songwriting team of Noble Sissle andEubie Blake, and librettists F.E. Miller and Aubrey Lyles to create this ground-breaking work. The show has just launched a full website and promo, which you can check out below!

Under the direction of Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun (Broadway's Newsies and Grey Gardens), Hines, who started performing at five years old, brings the history of American tap to life and pays tribute to his brother Gregory and the singers who inspired him, from Frank SinatratoLena Horne.
