Shatner's World: We Just Live In It Tour

Tony Award nominee Lainie Kazan and Emmy Award winner William Shatner, whose Broadway stage careers have spanned six decades, reveal personal stories of their Jewish upbringing in the new PBS special Hanukkah: A Festival of deLights. The program airs nationwide on PBS stations in the week leading up to and through the holiday (check local listings) and in the New York metropolitan area on PBS as follows: on WLIW/21 on Sunday, November 25 at 7:30 pm (check wliw.org for additional airings) and on the first and last nights of Hanukkah on Thirteen -- Sunday, December 2 at 2:30 pm and Sunday, December 9 at 8 pm.

It has been announced that legendary actor and iconoclast William Shatner is set to bring an encore tour of his 2012 Broadway show, Shatner's World, to Australia this October.

MGM Grand Hotel & Casino will host television and movie legend William Shatner for a three-night engagement when he performs his one-man show 'SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT' today, June 19, through the 21st at the Hollywood Theatre. In April 2011, Shatner launched what would eventually become his hugely popular stage show in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. In 2012, the show opened on Broadway and has been performed in more than 50 cities in the United States.

Television and movie legend William Shatner will bring his one man show SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT (www.shatnersworld.com) to the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts on January 12, 2014. Tickets range from $32-$77 and also available a $152 VIP ticket that includes a meet and greet with a photo opportunity. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts box office or through Ticketmaster, 800-745-3000.

Each year, United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, nominates artists for its special uAward. This honor recognizes those with outstanding achievements in popularizing the form of solo performance. A resident company at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City, United Solo has nominated several artists for its special 2013 uAward.

Television and movie legend William Shatner brings his one man show SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT to The Palace Theatre in Stamford on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 8:00 PM. This tour follows a three week run earlier this year at Broadway's Music Box Theatre from February 14 - March 4 and a successful tour of 15 cities across the U.S. Tickets are on sale now. It's official: The Charlie Daniels Band will headline the Jam on the Fox outdoor musical festival, joining The Georgia Satellites, Hearstfield and Red Woody for a rockin' good time on the banks of the scenic Fox River in downtown Aurora on Saturday, August 18.

Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon). Tickets will go on sale to the Public August 15th at 10 AM. Limit 6 tickets per Member per performance during Members Only sales. Membership to the Non-Profit State Theatre starts at $75, lasts one year and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

This past February, the Paramount announced to its nearly 13,000 inaugural Broadway series subscribers the four musicals on tap for the theater's second Broadway season: Grease (Sept. 12-Oct. 7, 2012), Annie (Nov. 21-Dec. 30, 2012), The Music Man (Jan. 16-Feb. 3, 2013) and Fiddler on the Roof (Mar. 6-24, 2013).

The Palace Theatre opened its doors 85 years ago this June 2nd under the direction of Stamford resident Mary Vuono who owned and operated the theater as a vaudeville and motion-picture house in 1927. The essence of vaudeville was variety, and in that spirit, The Palace Theatre will bring a wide assortment of offerings to the Harman Stage for its 85th anniversary season.

In its opening moments, it would be completely understandable to assume that Assistance, Leslye Headland's viciously fun satire of the cutthroat dealings among entry-level twenty-somethings, might be mimicking David Mamet's dark comedy of film executives, Speed-the-Plow.
