Mary Shelley's shocking classic novel, Frankenstein, receives new life at Cleveland Play House. A haunting and highly theatrical adaptation of the classic horror story. Directed by Michael Barakiva, the production features Josh Bates, Madeline Calais, Ellen Grace Diehl, Gavin Michaels, and Kayodè Soyemi.

Griffin Theatre Company has announced casting for its Midwest premiere of Marys Seacole by Pulitzer Prize winner Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Jerrell L. Henderson and Hannah Todd. Launching Griffin’s 33rd season, Marys Seacole will play October 1 – November 6, 2022 on Raven Theatre’s Schwartz Stage.

Philadelphia Artists’ Collective (PAC) will launch their 12th season with a production of Wine in the Wilderness by Alice Childress, performed at Poth Brewery.  'The Joe Hill Revival,' is a new musical that brings back to life the story of labor activist and songwriter Joe Hill, framed up and executed by the state of Utah in 1915. This will be an encore one-night-only performance at the Triad Theater in Manhattan on Sunday, February 6, 2-4pm.

The New York Philharmonic will be in residence at Oklahoma State University (OSU), October 11a?"14, 2019, performing the inaugural concerts of The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts and engaging with OSU students through educational activities. Music Director Jaap van Zweden will lead the Philharmonic in three programs at The McKnight Center, two featuring Tony Awarda?"winning Oklahoma native Kelli O'Hara and one featuring Philharmonic Concertmaster Frank Huang. All three concerts will be shared with the Stillwater community through free simulcasts on the venue's outdoor LED wall. The residency marks the New York Philharmonic's debut in Stillwater and first return to Oklahoma after more than 30 years. The partnership is made possible in part by a $25 million programming gift to OSU's McKnight Center by alumni Ross and Billie McKnight; Mr. McKnight is also a New York Philharmonic Board Member.

The opening subscription program of the New York Philharmonic's 2019a?"20 season a?" Highlights include two new SF Ballet commissions by Cathy Marston and Trey McIntyre, and a co-commission with American Ballet Theatre of a work by Alexei Ratmansky; as well as works by George Balanchine, David Dawson, Harald Lander, Edwaard Liang, Benjamin Millepied, Mark Morris, Liam Scarlett, Helgi Tomasson, and Stanton Welch. The Season's three story ballets include Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wheeldon's Cinderella, and Tomasson's Romeo & Juliet.
