JERSEY BOYS Returns to the Kravis Center November 23-24

The boys are back in town! This month features the limited engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The musical will make its much-anticipated return to West Palm Beach to play the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on November 23 through November 24 for three performances.

Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. In its 2017-18 season, the Grammy-nominated self-conducted chamber music collective A Far Cry joins pianist Simone Dinnerstein to premiere a new concerto for piano and strings composed for Dinnerstein by Philip Glass. In celebration of the composer's 80th birthday, select premiere performances of the concerto, paired with J. S. Bach's Keyboard Concerto in G minor, will take place in Boston, MA; New London, CT; at the Miller Theatre at Columbia University, NY; in Worcester, MA;  Palm Beach, FL; and at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto. A recording of the work for Glass' Orange Mountain Music label is scheduled for release in 2018.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the brilliant Tony Award-winning musical thriller by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and Hugh Wheeler (book), opens at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on July 14, following a specially priced preview on July 13. This deliciously macabre and witty tale of a throat-slitting barber and his enterprising accomplice, Mrs. Lovett, who grinds his victims into meat pies, runs through August 6. Clive Cholerton directs and Emmanuel Schvartzman, making his PBD debut, is the musical director.
